For a Strategic, Confident and Clear Self Introduction

Know exactly what to say the moment the interview begins.

If you're feeling the pressure of an upcoming interview and still aren't how to approach your self introduction, this is the course to take a breath, reflect, and build a clear, persuasive answer to one of the most stressful questions: "Tell me a bit about yourself."

Step by step, with real examples, focused reflection, and grounded coaching to help you feel steady when it's time to speak.

Course Outcomes:

Our goal: By completing this course, you'll not only have a strong self-introduction, but also a clear idea of what topics could be relevant in the rest of the interview.

  • You'll analyze your career through guided activities that help you identify that which is most relevant to this next job interview.

  • You'll discover the parts of your career's story that are most worth sharing - and strategies to know what to leave out.

  • You'll craft an introduction that is clear, natural, professional, and connected to the job following OmniInterview's APMPF Framework.

  • You'll deliver it with more clarity and confidence, delivering a message that is yours.

Structured.  Calm.  Efficient.  Designed for non-native English speakers.

This course is for you if:

  • You don't know where to start when an interviewer asks, "Tell me a bit about yourself."

  • You're applying to jobs and want a clear way to present your value.

  • You're nervous that your upcoming interview is in English, and want guidance on how to approach your preparation

  • You want to feel more in control of how you begin and guide the interview.

Discover, Craft, and Deliver Your Story

Designed with intention to be a time-efficient pathway towards the self-discovery and structure a strategic self-introduction requires.

Course Overview

Module 1

Introduction

To start strong, we'll review the APMPF Framework, and do a mindset check reviewing the objectives of the interview and four communication principles to keep in mind for your interview and our workshop.

You'll also complete Discovery Activities that help you gain a better sense of where you stand as a candidate, and what to cover in your self introduction.

Module 2

Appreciation

You'll learn to open your self-introduction with a short, sincere expression of appreciation that sets a respectful tone and helps you feel grounded instead of rehearsed.

Module 3

Present

This is the heart of your answer, and one of the key sections of our workshop.  You'll discover what to focus on when describing your role, and begin to show your alignment with the position you're applying for.

Module 4

Motivation

Here, you'll go through activities to understand why your work matters and what matters to you.  A short, clear statement of motivation adds depth and helps the interviewer see a more complete candidate, not just what you've done.

Module 5

Past

You'll reflect on key phases of your professional life.  Instead of listing every job, you'll learn how to connect the dots, showing how your past has shaped your present and prepared you for what comes next.

Module 6

Future

You'll close by showing that your goals align with this opportunity and organization.  Through reflection, you'll speak about your future with confidence.

Module 7

Putting it all together

To close, you'll see a variety of strong self introductions from different industries and professions.  You'll also complete the final touches to your Final Product Worksheet.

Meet your Coach

Hi, I'm Warren

I'm a certified coach specialized in working with non-native English speakers who are preparing for important interviews.  I'm a Certified Coach, and I've helped more than 1,000 professionals from all over the world prepare for interviews in English.

I designed this course because I've been there.  I've interviewed my second language - Spanish.  I've stayed up too late - drafting answers, trying to memorize scripts, and just in general doubting my language abilities when I should have instead been thinking "What were the key moments that led me to this interview, and how can I speak about them in my second language?"

This course isn't about selling yourself.  It's about getting clear - so when you speak, you feel steady.

In every video, I'll coach you through the process.  Not to be perfect.  Just to be ready.

Designed for non-native English speakers...but this isn't English Class!

Chances are, your interview is just around the corner.

Reality check: Your English level isn't going to change very much between now and then.  You could spend your time reviewing grammar and vocabulary worksheets, but the chances are: they won't help you in the moment of the interview.

Rather than stressing about your English, let's spend that focusing on identifying what to say and the best way to say it.

This course is designed to discover, craft and deliver a message that speaks louder than any mistakes you might make delivering it.
